Iba talaga ang talino ng Pinoy lalo na kapag pinagbutihan at pinagsikapan, hindi man lahat pinalad na mabigyan ng marangyang buhay ngunit sa pagsisikap gamit ang angking talino magagawa mong matupad ang iyong pinapangarap.
Kaya naman kamakailan naging maingay ang pangalang Benjamin Arches Baui, isang anak ng magsasaka na nakapasa sa labintatlong sikat na paaralan hindi lamang sa ating bansa maging sa labas ng ating bansa. Nagmula sa lugar ng Sto. Tomas, Isabela at nangarap kumuha ng kursong Architecture sa napipisil na unibersidad sa Ohio, USA.
Si Benjamin ay anak ng magsasaka, na tulad ng iilan ay may angking alab na determinasyong matupad ang kanyang mga pangarap sa buhay. Siya ay magtatapos bilang senior high ng makapasa sa mga scholarship sa mga pinakapipitagang paaralan sa ating bansa maging sa ibang bansa. Halos 11-milyong piso ang kanyang matatanggap na alok ng mga unibersidad sa kanyang scholarship kaya naman naging matunog ang pangalan nito sa social media maging sa mga mainstream media.
Sambit ng binata sa isang panayam sa kanya “Ang plano ko po is grab the opportunity in Xavier University. Yun po yung pinakamataas na na-receive kong scholarship, which costs PHP1.5 million per year, into five years of my course…. Then probably it will cost me, I will receive [a scholarship] approximately PHP7 million,”
Mahirap man ang kanyang pinagdaanan naging matamis at sulit naman ito sa huli dahil na rin sa resulta ng kanyang mga pinaghirapan.
“Nag-pay off naman po yung hardship ko from writing recommendations, application letters, letter of appeal, from examining…”
Upang maging inspirasyon ibinahagi ni Benjamin ang kanyang nakamit at kung may pagkakataon ay nais niyang samantalahin din ng iba ang kakaibang oportunidad na ito.
“Sa libu-libong mga aplikante na natanggap at nasuri ng Admission’s Committee, ako ay namumukod-tangi. Sobrang puno ng puso ko ngayon. Ni hindi ko alam kung paano ilalabas ang halo-halong emosyon na nararamdaman ko ngayon,”
Para naman sa maraming kabataan o taong nangangarap nagbigay din siya ng payo sa mga ito upang huwag pakawalan ang mga pagkakataon na dumadating sa ating buhay at subukan ang bawat oportunidad.
“Ang makamit ang isang pangarap ay napakagaan sa loob. It is only a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity so I’m really willing to grab it,” dagdag pa ni Benj.
“Inaamin ko na magiging mahirap para sa akin ang mga bagay dahil kailangan kong kumita ng sapat na pera upang manatili sa Estados Unidos.” “Ang pinaka importante po sa lahat ay maging disiplinado po sa pag-aaral and maging responsable po. And don’t let your anxiety deter you from achieving your dreams,”
“Wag kang mapaghinaan ng loob sa mga bad feedbacks from other people, don’t doubt yourself and you should find strength in yourself to achieve your dream po,” “Back when I was a child. It was just a dream. It all started with a vision and now I achieved it po,”- payo pa nito.

5. Conditionally admitted to Syracuse University’s dual enrollment. Syracuse University is a private research university in Syracuse, New York.
6. Merrimack College. Merrimack College is a private Augustinian university in North Andover, Massachusetts.
7. Jacobs University Bremen. Private university in Bremen, Germany. A private, English-speaking campus university in Germany with highest standards in research and teaching following an interdisciplinary concept. Have been awarded a scholarship of € 6000 per academic year.
