The Kabuhayan ni Kabayan livelihood program of Duty Free offers a complete package where OFWs can avail of livelihood tools and undergo training to operate the tools. The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) will provide the training.
The tools that can be bought are; fryer (U$127), popcorn maker (US$183), hotdog roller (US$193), shawarma machine (US$478), rice mill (US$828), and ice cream machine (US$1,375). They can also start a laundry business through the program’s package which includes laundry consultation, project layout, ocular inspection, and personnel training.
