Julia was greeted for winning the gold by her mother’s co-workers in GMA News and Public Affairs, Miriam Quiambao, Nelson Canlas, and Rida Reyes. Kara calls her daughter “Ice Princess” because even at a very young age, she had already noticed that Julia loves ice-skating. The doting mom frequently uploads a photo of Julia while inside the ice-skating rink. Kara even had a collage of the first time Julia tried ice-skating in 2007 and it can be seen that she’s trying to guide her.
