Pokwang is one truly blessed celebrity of the Kapamilya network. She has a regular show at ABS-CBN, an entry at the Metro Manila Film Festival, and a new endorsement. Aside from these blessings, her long-time dream of having a restaurant will finally come true. 2019 is truly Pokwang’s year as blessings continue to pour on her side. Pokwang shared during the media launch of her endorsement with Regasco LPG that she plans to build her restaurant in Antipolo. She’s just about to buy the lot and it’s still under negotiation.
Pokwang said that she plans to name her restaurant as Kusina ni Mamang at Papang. She wants it to sound very Filipino. She also added that she dedicates her upcoming business to the OFWs because many of them are her followers. She also noted that the OFWs miss Filipino food very much so they would be looking forward to going to her restaurant when they go to the Philippines for their vacation. Her daughter Ria Mae Subong will help her in running the restaurant. Ria has recently graduated from Enderun Colleges where she took up Culinary Arts.
Her Filmfest entry will be with Vic Sotto entitled, “Mission Unstapabol: The Don Identity” with Jake Cuenca and Maine Mendoza. She added that it will be a happy movie as it will feature the stars of both the Kapamilya and Kapuso network. Pokwang revealed that the first time she heard she will be making a movie with Vic Sotto, she really shouted with joy.
The last time she worked with Vic was nine years ago in the movie, “Pak! Pak! My Dr. Kwak”. Meanwhile, Pokwang is very thankful for being chosen as the celebrity endorser of Regasco LPG which fits her well because she’s always in the kitchen cooking meals for her family.
Regasco LPG owner Leslie Yiu said that Pokwang’s the perfect endorser for the product because they have seen her values. They’ve also seen how much she loves cooking aside from being a mother of two. She’s also very cooperative and professional. Her relationship and excellent work attitude with the company and they’re sure too that she will bring huge sales to the company so there would be a possibility of renewal.
