One particular story touched the hearts of the netizens after the LET schedule last September was posted by Sheila Mae Glor on her Facebook account. This is about the unwavering love of a father for his son who took up the LET.
Glor was one of the examinees on that particular day and she noticed one father who was patiently waiting outside the building where the LET was being held. She said that at around 6:30 in the morning, the father was already there.
He was jolly and smiled at everyone who passed by. Right then and there, Glor felt that whoever the man was accompanying, he must be very supportive of him. The exam lasted until 5:30 PM and when she went out, the old man was still there and he started talking to her.
The old man told her that his son is taking the exam too. He seemed very proud of his son and pointed out to Glor who his son was. At this point, he told her that since first year, he would bring and fetch his son to school until that time. This touched the heart of Glor and realized how much a parent can sacrifice for the sake of their children.
They wouldn’t mind the hardship they might encounter just so they can support their children’s dreams. She told him that she will include the father in her prayers; that the Lord gives him a longer time on earth and a healthy body. She also hopes that the man’s son will pass the exam. The netizens admired the father for his undying support for his son. They also commend the son for not giving up on his dreams despite his condition.
